The official records of Parliament include the following:

Constitution of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana (1980). This is the supreme law of Guyana. Copies of the 1953 (British Guiana), 1961, 1966 (Independence) and 1970 (Republic) constitutions are available in the Parliamentary Library. |

Standing Orders of the National Assembly. These regulate the proceedings of the National Assembly, and its committees. |

3.
|
Order Paper. This outlines the agenda for each Sitting of the National Assembly. |

|
Minutes. This is a concise record of proceedings and decisions of the National Assembly and its Committees. |
|
5.
|
Hansard. The Hansard is a verbatim report of the debates of the National Assembly. |
|
6.
|
Bill. A Bill is a draft or proposed law. |
|
7.
|
Act. An Act of Parliament is a bill which has been approved by the National Assembly and assented to by the President. |
|
8.
|
Official Gazette. The Official Gazette is a government publication which contains Bills, Acts and other records. |
|
9.
|
The Laws of Guyana, last revised in 1973, encompass 14 volumes of Acts of Parliament and subsidiary legislation currently enforced. |
|
10.
|
Budget. The Budget is an annual financial proposal submitted by the Government to the National Assembly for approval. |
|
11.
|
Estimate. An Estimate is the Government’s detailed account of revenue and expenditure for a fiscal year which begins on January 1. |
Official documents also include annual reports and other documents which may be presented to the National Assembly by Government Ministries and Committees. Official Records can be found in the Parliamentary Library.
