Angoy’s Avenue Youth Friendly Youth Space emerged victorious in Match two of the Quarter Finals of the Speakers National Youth Debating Competition 2022

It was a close finish as the Angoy’s Avenue Youth Friendly Youth Space today defeated the Grove/Diamond Youths in Development Youth Group in match two in the afternoon session of the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2022.

The combined scores for the judges were as follows: for the Proposition, Grove/Diamond Youths in Development Youth Group, 259 points, and 265 points for the Opposing side, Angoy’s Avenue Youth Friendly Youth Space.
The moot for this debate was, “Medical services in Guyana are adequately addressed.”

Despite her team losing, the Best Debater for match 2 of the Quarterfinals was Ms. Tamehra Reddy from the Grove/Diamond Youths in Development Youth Group.
The second leg of the Quarterfinals is slated for Friday, May 20, 2022, at 10 a.m.
