Children of Region 1 receive Toys from Speaker’s Outreach Programme

The children of Smith Creek, Morawhanna, Tobago Hill and Bumbury of Region 1 received their toys from the Speaker's Christmas Outreach Programme.
On Sunday, 13th December, 2020, a team of parliamentary officials, along with regional officials, distributed toys to the children at the locations.
Ms. Carlleta Charles, Parliamentary Executive Officer, spoke with the children and led them in singing a Christmas song. She noted that the initiative is from Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., Speaker of the National Assembly, to bring joy to the children.
Also present were Regional Chairman Mr. Brentnol Ashley, Regional Vice-Chairperson Ms. Annansha Peters, Regional Executive Officer Mr. Teka Bissessar, and Deputy Regional Executive Officer Shem Cuffy.
The Speaker's Christmas Outreach aims to distribute toys to 7000 children in Guyana.
