Chilean Ambassador pays Courtesy Call on Speaker of the National Assembly of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.

Chilean Ambassador to Guyana, His Excellency Patricio Becker, on the 30th November, 2020, paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., Speaker of the National Assembly.
They met in the Speaker’s Chamber at the Public Buildings, Brickdam, Georgetown.

During the visit, their discussion focused on various issues of mutual interest, aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries. Importantly, Ambassador Becker proposed a cooperation agreement between the Parliament of Guyana and the Parliament of Chile. Hon. Speaker Nadir welcomed the suggestion and indicated that it would have to be discussed at the Parliamentary Management Committee.
The Ambassador also said that Members of Parliament and parliamentary staff can benefit from Spanish Courses provided by the Chilean Embassy, despite the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Parliamentary Executive Officer, Ms. Carlleta Charles, attached to the Parliament Office, was also present during the visit.
