Commonwealth Pariliamentary Association Training Seminar for Members of the Twelfth Parliament of Guyana

Members of the Twelfth Parliament of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana will benefit from a training Seminar by a delegation from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) along with experts from across the Commonwealth region.
The Seminar will be held in the Dome of the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCC), Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown during the period May 10 – 11, 2022.
The Acting President & Prime Minister, Hon. Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Anthony Phillips, M.S.S., M.P., will address the participants virtually during the opening ceremony for the CPA Seminar. Speaker of the National Assembly, The Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., is among the keynote presenters to address the participants at the opening ceremony.
The Seminar aims to share knowledge by providing a framework to examine the core elements to aid in strengthening democracy through good governance.
Delegates will be participating physically and virtually.
The training seminar will see participation from the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Canada, the National Assembly of Suriname (First non-Commonwealth Nation), the House of Representatives of Trinidad & Tobago, and organisations such as ParlAmericas and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Guyana, a member of the CPA since 1939, is also a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and ParlAmericas.
