Day four of the Consideration of the 2020 Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure saw the allocation for Programmes for Regions 3 - 10 approved.
The House moved that the Current and Capital Expenditure for the following Regions, under the Ministry of Local Government & Regional Development, stand part of the Estimates.
- Region 3: Essequibo Islands/West Demerara
- Region 4: Demerara/Mahaica
- Region 5: Mahaica/Berbice
- Region 6: East Berbice/Corentyne
- Region 7 Cuyuni/Mazaruni
- Region 8: Potaro/Siparuni
- Region 9: Upper Takatu/Upper Essequibo
- Region 10: Upper Demerara/Upper Berbice
A Motion, by the Hon. Priya D. Manickchand, M.P., Minister of Education,
was moved to amend the provision to extend the hours beyond 8.00 p.m. to complete the business of the day.
The Sitting was adjourned to Friday, 25th September, 2020 at 9.30 A.M.
