Golden Om Dharmic Youth Organisation & Small Steps Big Impact Youth Group have secured their spots in the Semi-finals for the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2022.
During the morning session, the Golden Om Dharmic Youth Organisation defeated the Young Professionals Youth Group.
The combined scores for the judges were as follows: for the Proposition, Golden Om Dharmic Youth Organisation, 230.6 points, and 190.6 points for the Opposing side, the Young Professionals Youth Group.
The moot for that debate was Students across Guyana should be allowed to wear their preferred wear in schools.

Ms. Sherryann Mangru was adjudged Best Debater for that Matchup.
For the afternoon session, the Small Steps, Big Impact Youth Group emerged as the victor against the Bartica Youth Group for a place in the Semi-final.

The combined scores for the judges were as follows: for the Proposition, Bartica Youth Group, 261.4 points, and 298.6 points for the Opposing side, Small Steps, Big Impact Youth Group.
The moot for that debate was Guyana’s Youth should undertake registration to be heard.

The Best Debater was Mr. Gavin Thomas of the Small Steps Big Impact Youth Group.
