Guyana Delegation attends the 209th Session of the Governing Council at the 144th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly

The Governing Council met on Monday, March 21, 2022, to discuss and make resolutions on a wide range of issues, stretching from the Union’s Communication Strategy 2022-2026 to its plans for improvement of the humanitarian index for parliamentarians.
Supported by Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Mohabir Anil Nandlall and Opposition Member of Parliament Dawn Hastings-Williams, Hon. Speaker Nadir echoed the position of improving the Inter-Parliamentary Union's accountability marker and plans to strengthen relations with the United Nations during the Session.
Guyana was elected to the Governing Council in March 2020.
