Kast Talent Management and the Bartica Youth Groups advance to round two of the Speakers National Youth Debating Competition 2022

After an early exit last year, it was a sweet victory for the Kast Talent Management Youth Group as they defeated the Anna Regina Youth Group for match three of the morning session of the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2022.
Their debate was centered on the moot ‘Financial Institutions should offer 5% interest on loans to youth for investment’.

The Best Debater for match 3 was Ms. Crystal Wills of the Kast Talent Management Youth Group.
For match 4 in the afternoon session, the Bartica Youth Group impressed the judges with their forward arguments resulting in the win against the Berbice Development Youth Group.
Their debate was centered on the moot 'Guyana’s oil and gas industry and the green economy are not contradictory'.

Ms. Carlita Williams of the Bartica Youth Group was the Best Debater for match 4.
The winning teams from round one will advance to participate in the Annual Youth Parliament.
The Debates will continue on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
