His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Executive President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, on Thursday, 11th February, 2021, delivered his Inaugural Speech to the Members of the National Assembly of the Twelfth Parliament.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., suspended the 18th Sitting of the National Assembly to receive His Excellency the President.

President Ali conducted an inspection of the Guard of Honour in the Fore Court of the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCC) before being received by Speaker Nadir and Mr. Sherlock Isaacs Clerk of the National Assembly.
The Joint Services, members of the Diplomatic Corps and Heads of Governmental Agencies along will a few members of the Civil Society were in attendance to listen to His Excellency’s outline for his Administration’s Vision for the next five years.
As a result of the COVID-19 protocols, invitations to attend the Parliament were limited.
His Excellency disclosed his administration’s strategic areas, which are as follows:
Energy
Environment (Low Carbon Development Strategy)
Infrastructure Transformation
Human Resources
Technology
World-Class Social Services
Macro-Economic Framework
