Speaker’s Annual Christmas Outreach Programme kicks off in Region 3

In the spirit of the festive season, a team of Parliamentary officials from the Parliament Office, in partnership with regional officials and community organisers, on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, distributed toys to the children of communities in Region 3, on behalf of Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., Speaker of the National Assembly.
Children from the Tuschen Black Water Scheme, Zeelught first, second and third phases were filled with joy and excitement as they received their toys.

The Outreach Programme team included Ms. Carlleta Charles, Parliamentary Executive Officer; Ms. Christina Ramroop, Parliamentary Executive Assistant (A.g.), Mr. Yannick December, Public Relations Officer, Ms. Karen Mitchell-Lewis, Admin Assistant, Mr. Ean McPherson, Personal Assistant to the Speaker of the National Assembly; and other members of staff from the Parliament Office.

Residents extended their gratitude to Hon. Speaker Nadir, through the staff, for his kind gesture, and to the regional officials and community organisers for their efforts.
La Parfaite Harmonie, Canal No. 1, Bagotville, LaGrange, Plastic City in Vreed-en-Hoop, and Anna Catherina were the areas covered during last year’s Christmas Outreach to Region 3.
The Speaker’s Annual Christmas Outreach Programme aims to distribute toys to 8,500 children across the nation to put a smile on their faces during the COVID-19 pandemic
