Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., Speaker of the National Assembly, has embarked upon a Christmas Outreach to children across the country.

On Saturday, 5th December, 2020, Hon. Lennox Shuman, M.P., Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, visited St. Cuthbert's Mission, where he distributed toys to the children of the community. Hon. Shuman was accompanied by Ms. Carlleta Charles, Parliamentary Executive Officer, Mr. Eon McPherson, Personal Assistant to the Speaker of the National Assembly, and other parliamentary officials.

                                                                  

During the visit, Deputy Toshao Foster Simon welcomed the team and thanked them for their visit. He mentioned that the children were excitedly expectant and expressed his appreciation to Hon. Speaker Nadir.

The Hon. Deputy Speaker lauded the initiative of Hon. Speaker Nadir to "bring Christmas to the communities", and expressed the warmth he felt being in his home town.

The Speaker's Christmas Outreach aims to distribute toys to 7,000 children across the nation to put a smile on their faces during the COVID-19 pandemic.
