Speaker’s Christmas Outreach Programme Partners with the Women of Vilvorden

The women of the Vilvorden Women's Creative Group were pleased to receive toys from the Speaker's Christmas Outreach Programme for the children of their community.
The Group was founded by Hon. Manzoor Nadir, MP, Speaker of the National Assembly, and is in its twenty-eighth year of existence.
On Saturday, 19th December, 2020, a parliamentary team, along with the Women's Group, did a drive-by distribution through the community.
The children were excited to see Santa and were overjoyed to receive their toys.
The Christmas Outreach Programme will next move to communities along the East Bank of Demerara on Sunday and conclude with orphanages on Thursday.
