Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide and Pathfinder Club advance to the Semi-finals of the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2023

The Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide and Pathfinder Club Youth Group on Tuesday recorded a resounding win against the Guyana Kindness Movement Youth Group in round two, match three of the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2023.
The moot for this virtual debate was, “Juvenile offenders should be tried as adults.”

Both groups, during this virtual matchup, demonstrated their uncanny capability to articulate their well-reasoned positions on the moot.
The combined average scores for the judges were as follows: for the Proposition, the Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide and Pathfinder Club Youth Group, 222 points, and 157 points for the Opposing side, the Guyana Kindness Youth Movement Youth Group.
For this Matchup, it was Ms. Veronica Wilson of the Winning Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide and Pathfinder Club Youth Group who copped the Best Debater award for this matchup.
The semi-finals of the Speaker's National Youth Debating Competition are scheduled to take place on July 11, 2023.
The Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide and Pathfinder Club Youth Group has joined the Golden Om Dharmic Youth Organisation and the Young Influencers Youth Group for a place in the finals.
