Sixty-six Members of Parliament were sworn in after the completion of the elections of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the House.
Members physically present for the Sitting took the Oath of Office from their respective seats, while others, who were unable to attend, joined in and did same via a Zoom call.
As a result of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic, the convening of Sittings of the National Assembly took the format of a Hybrid Sitting where Members could attend the Sittings, virtually.
The Twelfth Parliament consists of sixty-seven (67) Members of Parliament, inclusive of the Speaker of the National Assembly.
The Government accounts for thirty-five (35) while the Opposition accounts for thirty-two (32) Members of Parliament.
