The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Guyana claims victory in round one, match seven of the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2024

It was a thrilling matchup between the winning Junior Chamber International (JCI) Guyana Youth Group and the Queenstown Youth Group in round one, match seven, during the 12:30 p.m. virtual session of the Speaker’s Regional Youth Debating Competition 2024.
Mr. Denroy Tudor of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) GuyanaYouth Group copped the award for the Best Debater for this matchup.

The moot for this debate was, “Nationalism preserves culture.”
It was established from the beginning of the debate that both teams meant business.
The debaters showcased the finest rhetorical skills, critical thinking, and persuasive prowess of talent as they vied for their chance to enter the second round of the competition.
As the dust settled, the combined scores for the judges were as follows: for the Proposition, the Queenstown Youth Group, 170.3 (Average), and 186 points (Average) for the Opposing side, the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Guyana Youth Group.
With this win, the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Guyana Youth Group has secured a spot in round 2 of this competition and in the 9th Annual Youth Parliament.
