The Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide & Pathfinder Club claims victory in round one, match three of the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2023

It was a thrilling matchup between the winning Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide & Pathfinder Club Youth Group and the Enterprise Young Professionals Youth Group in round one, match three, during the 12.30 p.m. session of the Speaker’s Regional Youth Debating Competition 2023.
However, it was Ms. Charika Persaud of the Enterprise Young Professionals Youth Group who copped the award for the Best Debater for this matchup.
The moot for this debate was, “Vaping should be banned.”
It was established from the beginning of the debate that both teams meant business.
The debaters showcased the finest rhetorical skills, critical thinking, and persuasive prowess of talent as they vied for their chance to enter the second round of the competition.
With great difficulty, the combined scores for the judges were as follows: for the Proposition, the Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide & Pathfinder Club Youth Group, 183.3 (Average), and 182.6 points (Average) for the Opposing side, the Enterprise Young Professionals Youth Group.
With this win, the Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide & Pathfinder Club Youth Group has qualified for the second round of this competition and the 8th Annual Youth Parliament.
