Sitting of the 17th Regional Youth Parliament: 46th CPA CAA Conference

Georgetown, Guyana – Youth Parliamentarians from across the Caribbean, the Americas, and the Atlantic Region will convene today for the 17th Sitting of the Regional Youth Parliament. This event forms part of the 46TH Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Caribbean, the Americas, and the Atlantic Region.
The Sitting, scheduled to commence at 1:00 p.m. today, Thursday, September, 2024, will take place in the Chamber of the Public Buildings, Brickdam, Georgetown. During the session, the youth representatives will debate a motion: “Regional Leaders to Promote Inclusive Governance Through Youth Representation in National Legislative Bodies.”
The Regional Youth Parliament provides a platform for young leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue on pressing issues within their nations and the wider region, fostering leadership skills, and promoting youth involvement in governance.
