The Parliament Office wishes to inform the public that the names of Mr. Aubrey Norton and Ms. Volda Lawrence were extracted from A Partnership for National Unity + Alliance for Change (APNU+AFC) list of candidates to fill the two vacancies in the National Assembly.

Today, Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., was informed of the declaration by the Chief Elections Officer of the Guyana Elections Commission, Mr. Vishnu Persaud.

There will be a Sitting of the National Assembly on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, where Mr. Aubrey Norton and Ms. Volda Lawrence are expected to make and subscribe, before the National Assembly, the Oath of Office which shall be administered by the Clerk.
